A Day In The Life Of Your Stay At The Bay Talland

If you are planning a getaway to one of our cottages this year, you may be wondering what a day spent at The Bay Talland would be like. We’ve put together this day in the life to give you some inspiration for your next getaway to Cornwall.

7:00 AM – Early Rise

The early bird catches the worm! While most people may not like waking up this early while on holiday, we think it’s the perfect time to start exploring everything Looe has to offer. All of our cottages are readily equipped with tea and coffee for your arrival, meaning you can have that little boost of energy to get you ready for the day.

7:30 AM – Morning Gym & Swim

If you like to start your day with some relaxed exercise, you’ll enjoy a trip to our leisure complex. Get a session in at our fully equipped gym, then relax by having a swim and sauna in our beautiful indoor pool area. This will set you up for the day ahead and you can get ready to leave feeling refreshed and energised.

8:30 AM – Walk Into Looe

From The Bay Talland, you can take the coastal path into East Looe. This walk will take around an hour, and while that may sound like a long walk the beautiful views make up for it. Plus the walk is popular, meaning it is stable ground to walk on.

10:15 AM – Grab A Drink And A Snack

After enjoying a refreshing coastal walk, settle down in a local cafe for a drink and a snack to rest your legs and take in the views. We recommend the Island View Cafe or Smugglers Rest, both offering a wide selection of drinks and snacks.

10:40 AM – Boat Trip To Looe Nature Reserve

With trips running throughout the year, it is a must to catch the boat from the RNLI lifeboat station slipway while still in East Looe. The trip out takes around 20 minutes, and you are given 2 hours on the island itself, taking in the scenery and wildlife as you explore. This makes a great day out and is a perfect way to end your morning.

1:00 PM – Return To Looe For A Bite To Eat

After a busy morning, you will be craving something to eat. Fifty is a family-run restaurant that serves delicious food and some cocktails if you feel like treating yourself, La Bocca offers gorgeous wood-fired pizza along with other Italian dishes, or if you’re looking for something lighter, Proper Smashed has Cornish Artisan Burgers. All these places are sure to hit the spot, it’s just about choosing the right one for you or going for what you crave at the time.

1:30 PM – Have Fun On The Beach

A must while you’re in Looe, no matter the weather, you need to get down to East Looe Beach. Have a paddle, build a sandcastle or simply have a walk down this stunning beach. Lay out a towel and soak up the sun if it is nice weather, and don’t forget to grab an ice cream!

3:30 PM – And… Relax

After a day of exploring Looe, why not take the walk back to the cottage and take a moment to relax. Some of our cottages are complete with hot tubs for the perfect afternoon unwinding. We also offer on-site spa treatments all carried out by professionals and done in the comfort of your cottage. Contact us today to book a session.

6:30 PM – Prepare For Dinner

After a few hours of relaxing on-site, it’ll be time for a nice dinner. All our cottages have modern kitchens fitted with a fridge, microwave, oven and more. If you don’t feel like cooking on holiday, there are plenty of lovely restaurants and take-out options available nearby!

7:30 PM – End The Day With A View
