The Great Estate Festival

When: 31st May to the 2nd June 2024
Where: Scorrier House 

Described as “The most rambunctious Garden Fête” ” the Great Event Festival held at Scorrier House sees various events from the music and arts industry put on display to create an unforgettable experience. 

The music lineup includes various genres, from indie to electronic, and all the bands on stage are sure to put on a great show. Multiple art forms, such as illustrations, performances, and interactive experiences, will be shown. On top of all this food and drink will be available, like gourmet street food and various bars found on the grounds.

Wildworks: Folk On The Edge Workshop – Folk Storytelling with Mike O’Connor

When: 5th June 2024
Where: The Haven, Looe

This workshop will help you learn the art of storytelling, more specifically the folk storytelling tradition. Presented by expert storyteller Mike O’Connor, who has had over 30 years of experience in the field and won multiple awards for his works. He will give insight into his methods and share the knowledge he has gained over the years with you, so you can have the tools to create your very own folk stories.

Royal Cornwall Show

When: 6th to the 8th June 2024
Where: The Showground at Wadebridge

Head to the showground at Wadebridge for the best of Cornwall’s agriculture, food and entertainment in the Royal Cornwall Show. With events spanning over 3 days, there is so much to do it may be worth going each day the event is on.

The main ring has a non-stop timetable of acts. These acts include stunt shows, livestock parades and more. It’s also a great place to kick back and enjoy an ice cream whilst taking in the amazing view. The event also has various live music and dance performances, a creative view of Countryside Village and over 1000 trade stands.

Falmouth Sea Shanty Festival

When: 14th to the 16th June 2024
Where: Various Locations in Falmouth.

Name the largest free nautical music festival in Europe, Falmouth Sea Shanty Festival celebrates the rich history of the town. It was there where sailors anchored up and filled the alehouses with their songs, and this festival will be held across various pubs allowing everyone to enjoy the sounds of a good shanty no matter where they are. On The Water – Looe & Polperro

When: 14th to the 21st June 2024

The Looe & Polperro On The Water week honours the outstanding range of activities that you can get up to on the waters of Looe, having various events ongoing which you can attend to celebrate. 

See what some of the stand-out events are below.

Made In Looe Regatta (June 14th to 16th 2024)  – This celebrates Looe’s long history of boatbuilding and boats, located on the Looe Harbour. There are three days of activities planned, including an exhibition on the History Of Looe Boatbuilding, various local bands playing and more. Find out additional information here.

Looe Raft Race (June 16th 2024) – Get your raft ready for the annual Looe Raft Race, organised by the Looe Boat Owners to raise funds for Looe RNLI. There are various entry classes, such as junior, adult and elite. Join today to have fun for a good cause.

Polperro Festival Comedy Night

When: 20th June 2024
Where: The Royal British Legion

For a great evening of laughs, visit the Polperro Royal British Legion to help raise funds for the Polperro Music & Arts Festival. The acts this year are Harriet Dyer and Sally O’Sullivan, so you are guaranteed a good night from these experienced and hilariously funny comedians. St Merryn Steam & Vintage Rally

When: 22nd to 23rd June 2024
Where: St Merryn Town

An annual event, St Merryn Steam Fair and Vintage Rally first started back in 1970 to raise money for the town’s church roof. Today, it continues to raise money for various charities. The event features various rural exhibits, like vintage tractors, steam engines and classic cars. There will also be various trade stands and even a car boot sale. Finally, the evening will finish with entertainment from multiple local bands.

Every Mile Matters

When: 22nd June 2024
Where: Looe Train Station

Organised by the South West Coast Path Association, this fundraising walk is one of several and is for a great cause. The walk starts right in the town of Looe and has you walking past its various beautiful bays down to the fishing harbour of Polperro. Take in the views for a great cause with this walk.

Mevagissey Feast Week

When: 22nd June to the 29th June 2024

Expect a wide range of exhibitions, demonstrations and live music at the Mevagissey Feast Week. The event, of course, will feature a variety of delicious Cornish food and drink, including a Cornish real ale bar. With a jam-packed schedule, there is something for everyone, whether it’s a host of children’s entertainment for the kids or races for the competitive types.
